Henry Wiles not only won the Springfield Short Track Saturday night, but he also tied Chris Carr's record of all time Short Track National Wins, with 9 total. Henry took the checkered flag by almost a second in front of Brad Baker. The Short Track was his 3rd win of the 2012 season.
"I'm excited for the whole Don's Kawasaki, DPC Racing team, it feels great to be able to win 6 Springfield Short Tracks in a row," said Wiles. "I actually got my first ever Short Track win here in Springfield. Its also really special to me to be able to tie Chris Carrs record. Its the 2nd 450 race in a row that I have been able to tie one of Chris' records. I have so much respect for Chris on and off the motorcycle, he is a motorcycle racing legend."
"When I was thinking about the record set at 9, it didn't seem like that was very high. But when you have a field as stacked as ours and a shot at only 3-4 Short Tracks a year, every one counts," added Wiles.
Henry looks to finish the season off strong as the team heads to Santa Rosa, CA for the last Mile of the year.
